Cassie & Brendan | Druid Hills Golf Club | Atlanta, GA

I learn something new at every wedding.  Seriously.  Even after 150+ weddings photographed and delivered, every single wedding teaches me at least one new thing about myself, about photography, about how much club soda it takes to remove a stain from a wedding dress…  At Cassie & Brendan’s wedding I learned: “Timeline? What timeline?”  And I laughed a whole, whole lot.  Thank you, Cassie & Brendan, for being SO MUCH FUN. But most of all, Cassie, thank you for not spilling that, er, cranberry juice (ahem) on your wedding dress before the ceremony.  I wasn’t kidding when I said I’m not that good at Photoshop.  OXO

I love this photo of Cassie fist-bumping her older sister:

Quick! Five minutes for portraits with Cassie & Brendan before introductions…

First dances on the veranda…

A toast from one of Brendan’s brothers…

In a Macedonian tradition, Cassie and Brendan broke this large loaf of bread together, each vying for the bigger piece.  Superstition holds that whoever gets the bigger chunk will be head of the household.  Cassie won by a landslide.

Wherever they are, whatever they’re wearing, tired children always just lay down on the floor.
